Le cheval de Heck est une race chevaline créée par les frères Heck, créateurs de l'aurochs de Heck, pour reconstituer le Tarpan. Le premier naît le 22 mai 1933 au zoo de Munich[1]. Ces chevaux perdurent[2] en captivité notamment dans la réserve animale du Domaine des grottes de Han en Belgique où les visiteurs ont la possibilité de les approcher.




Les visiteurs du Domaine des grottes de Han peuvent approcher les tarpans reconstitués depuis le "safari car".
