Ganmain est une ville de la région de Riverina en Nouvelle-Galles du Sud, Australie. Ganmain est située à 55 kilomètres au nord-ouest de Wagga Wagga et à 50 kilomètres à l'est de Narrandera. Elle est située dans le comté de Coolamon et 648 habitants ont été recensés en 2006.


Le nom de la ville vient d'un mot aborigène signifiant Scènes de la Couronne sur la Lune pour des raisons tribales ou natif décoré avec cicatrices[1].


Boggy Creek Post Office fut ouvert le 10 décembre 1888, puis renommé Derry en 1894 et Ganmain un an plus tard[2].

De nos jours |


La ville possède deux écoles primaires, Ganmain Public School et St Brendan's Catholic Primary School.


Elle est connue pour ses tartes, vendues dans la boulangerie de Ganmain. Elles peuvent également être vendues de l'autre côté de la Riverina[3].


La ville possède son club de football, Ganmain-Grong Grong Matong, jouant dans la Riverina Football League.
